TrueBlue Clinical Research (“TrueBlue”) conducts clinical trials and health-related community programs. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with transparency, integrity, and respect.
Purpose of This Notice
This Privacy Policy describes how TrueBlue collects, uses, protects, and shares your personal information when you interact with our websites, mobile apps, online forms, or participate in clinical research activities (collectively referred to as the “Services”).
It also explains your rights under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and relevant Florida state laws, including the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (FDBR).

Your Rights Under Florida Law
If you are a Florida resident, you may also have the following rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (FDBR):
• Access — To know what personal data we collect and how we use it.
• Correction — To request that inaccurate data be corrected.
• Deletion — To request deletion of personal data, subject to research retention requirements.
• Opt-Out — To opt out of targeted advertising or the sale/sharing of personal data.
• Portability — To obtain a copy of your data in a portable format.

Please note: FDBR may not apply to certain research data protected by HIPAA or federal research regulations (45 CFR 46).
De-Identification and Limited Data Sets
In many cases, TrueBlue uses de-identified or limited data sets for research and reporting. Once your data is de-identified according to HIPAA standards (removing all identifiers such as name, date of birth, address, and contact information), it is no longer considered PHI and may be used for scientific, statistical, or educational purposes without additional consent.
Right to Withdraw from a Study
You have the right to withdraw from any research study at any time, without penalty or loss of benefits to which you are otherwise entitled.
If you withdraw:
• No new information will be collected about you.
• Information already collected may still be used to ensure the scientific integrity of the study or comply with legal requirements.
• Any future contact or communications related to that study will cease unless required for safety follow-up.
Data Retention and Destruction
We retain personal and study-related information only as long as necessary to:
• Meet research, regulatory, or legal obligations (e.g., FDA or sponsor retention periods)
• Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements
• Maintain accurate records of consent and study participation
After required retention periods, we securely delete, anonymize, or archive data consistent with HIPAA and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
Data Security
We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
These include encrypted systems, limited access controls, secure file storage, staff training, and regular compliance reviews. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no online or physical system can guarantee complete security.
Children and Adolescent Participants
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18 without parental or guardian consent. For adolescent studies, all data collection and communication follow IRB-approved parental consent and child assent procedures.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Effective Date” above reflects the most recent version. Any significant changes will be communicated through our website or study materials as required by law.
